Homst Restaurant, Chinese Muslim Cuisine – Taman Tun Dr. Ismail, Kuala Lumpur

Homst taufu
It is well known to the city patronage, besides this Taman Tun (TTDI) main branch, it has 3 other branches in Dataran Sunway - Kota Damansara, Section 13 – Shah Alam and Prima Saujana – Kajang. Homst was established in 2002 in TTDI by Chef Yusoff Lau Abdullah aspired to serve an authentic Chinese Cuisine especially to Muslim. You can read details of the restaurant from the link above. This place always has its diners especially during lunch hour.

The cuisine here is great taste as it claims, I have dined its Shah Alam restaurant few times and it served great dishes as well. So my order that day were oyster sauce broccoli (RM9), Homst taufu (RM10), fried noodle (RM6), salted egg yolk soft shell crab (RM20), lemon chicken (RM12) and Kong Po beef (RM13). The freshly broccoli not really salty but brittle and nice with the sauce. I love the taufu, great taste with mix of taufu and fish, I could even eat itself just like that, dipped in the home sauce. The lemon chicken was tasty as well as the soft shell crab, it was so crunchy and delicious. The fried noodle looked plain but do not make first thought without taste it first, well it is really tasty!

It is not really high decorated inside of the restaurant but it is still fine if do not want to have romantic dining with your love one. I already went to two Homst branches, both are located at the row of the shops building and the car park is kind of very limited, especially during office rush.  I am not sure how is the food in other branches but for sure I will come again to Homst to taste other menus.
