I bet your guy’s jaw open wide drooling when seeing the row of variety dishes here. Even made myself few laps strolling the dishes and food counter before taking what I would eat. It is basically mix rice with variety of dishes from seafood, beef, mutton, chicken and you can even taste a duck in gravy.
It is really easy to find this restaurant, just located at Lorong Yap Kwan Seng of Jalan Yap Kwan Seng, nearby the KLCC. It is just beside Restoran Kampung Pandan, at the renovated bungalow became restaurant. The place was not crowded at all because it was Sunday lunch hour, I believe. I managed to park inside the restaurant compound but I think it would be difficult to get a parking during weekdays because I saw the parking space quite limited furthermore the roadside is prohibited parking spot.
I reckon this restaurant serves the best tomyum nearby my area, so far. Unfortunately I could not try their Thai named dishes which look so nice and delicious, got to repeat to this restaurant next time. The Alissara fried rice is tasty but beware for those who cannot take extreme flaming hot stuff!, it is really hot fried rice. It is some kind of nasi goreng kampung (old folk fried rice) but with ingredients of lemon grass cut, anchovies, cut of torch ginger bud/ginger flower (bunga kantan) and etc. It is strange that I could not find any pieces of chilli in the fried rice but it is really hot. Crab fried rice is quite nice as well but I love the side dishes, called Kai Jor in Thai. It is sort of chicken meat ball but blended with corn and not sure what else mixed in it but it is really tasty.
This restaurant really got its crowd during Saturday breakfast hour but not sure how it is during week days. It has to put up a temporary tent in front of the restaurant due to insufficient table inside of the shop. The restaurant located at the shops row at Jalan SS21/37, within Damansara Uptown and the parking space is quite terrible, you need to park further or at the nearby multilevel parking building. It has quite number of workers, most of them are foreigners and I reckon that they are not really customer’s friendly because they rush here and there for orders, cleaning tables. I do not really enjoy the food with such hectic shop.
This restaurant owned by two partners, the celebrity chef Dato’ Chef Ismail and our first Malaysian astronaut, Datuk Dr. Sheikh Muszaphar Shukor Al Masrie Sheikh Mustapha. Located in Bangsar, Lorong Maarof, behind the Dataran Maybank, at the renovated house-restraurant. Its interior pretty well decorated with cupboard of antiques, art frames on the wall and it also has private dinning area that fit about ten people. It also has small stage for small event out side of the restaurant where the buffet spread counters located as well.
