Nasi Arab – Asiatica Palace of Middle East Cuisine Restaurant – Kepala Batas, Penang

Do not be surprised if you can find Middle East cuisine when in Bertam, Kepala Batas. This restaurant located in Bertam Perdana town, at the stretched of shops lot. According to the staff, it has been operating two years now, serving the tasty authenticated cuisine in Kepala Batas. It is not difficult to find the Asiatica, just take the Bertam / Kepala Batas exit of North South Highway then when reach the “t-junction” traffic light, take left to the Bertam Perdana town.

Of course the specialty of this restaurant is it Middle Eastern dishes and it claimed as organic as it uses organic chicken, you can read further info about Asiatica from its website here. You can feel the delight enjoying the food here as soon as you enter the restaurant, the interior comfy your appetite, I can say!
The main dining area is at the ground floor while the 1st floor opened for special occasion or function as well as so called gazebo area which located at the back of the restaurant.

My menu that night were Chicken Mandy rice (RM15.90), Lamb Mandy rice (RM17.90), Hawaiian Pizza (RM16.90, regular size), Dajaj Kebob with bread (RM17.90), Asiatica Mint Tea (RM6.90), Strawberry juice (RM3.50), Zarga (RM7.90) and a cola (RM3.90). The Mandy rice is not bad at all, delicous as the lamb very nice as well. The kids also loved the pizza, cheesy sticky nice pizza crust, freshly baked with its Asiatica dough.

I could not get my hands off of the skewer of the Dajaj Kebob, the boneless breast Mediterranean grill, I wrapped it with the bread and dipped in the Morrocan curry, very nice. I also love Zarga which mixed juice of strawberry and lemonade that really made up the refreshment taste!

This restaurant also accept special events, catering or function. Overall of the food were nice and worth to dine here and perhaps come back to try other menus. I am not sure if its Asiatica branch in Bandar Baru Bangi, Seksyen 9 exist or not. Further info about Asiatica, Palace of the Middle East Cuisine can contact its director En Azhar Ahmad or 04 5780675 or refer to its website as above link.
