Nasi Tomato, Jalan Sungai Pinang – Penang

Nasi Tomato with ayam ros
I was suggested by cousin to try out nasi tomato or tomato rice at this stall if go to Penang island. It is easy to find the place, after come down from Penang bridge, take Jelutong Expressway towards to Georgetown. Not long enough before you reach Georgetown, take exit to Sungai Pinang and right after you pass the Jalan Jelutong and Jalan C.Y.Choy junction, go straight and you will see the stall beside of the road on your right. The car park was really terrible because there was no proper parking bay since the stall just at the busy roadside with yellow line parking restriction.
The stall was actually a part of house which front of it was renovated as a stall. I was not sure if it has a signboard and according to the worker the stall name is Maqbul Nasi Tomato.
Daging kicap
I could see people was in line to take their nasi tomato with choices of dishes and gravies where big pots of ayam ros or red spiced chicken gravy at the food counter. The nasi tomato was really nice with the ayam ros but the black ketchup (soy sauce) beef was not really meet the average taste. The stall is operated by Gaffor Catering who also receive catering and can be contacted at 012-4968937. According to my cousin they normally change their dishes menu to other dishes such as nasi dhal, nasi lemuni so you might not get nasi tomato that day, not sure the frequency of menu changes. They also make seen-delicious murtabak (have not tried it yet). This stall deserved points:
