Gayang Seafood Restaurant - Jln. Sulaman, Tuaran, Sabah

One of the best food in Sabah is its seafood as I had chance eating at this restaurant couple months ago. It is quite true that seafood in Sabah is fresh and cheap no wonder you can have packed wet seafood ready at the Kota Kinabalu market to bring back home on the plane, no joke!

Gayang Seafood restaurant located on a deck by the river bank and mangrove swamp, it is really nice place to enjoy the food with family or even a romantic dinner with your spouse. This Chinese restaurant provide wide open parking space around the fish pond. There are small seafood aquariums as you enter the main entrance. All these alive seafood in the aquariums for you to choose and measure before they recommend the best cooking recipes or of you choice.

Tiger Grouper in Nyonya Asam
Tiger Crab
Our seafood dinner for that evening, we chose a wild tiger grouper about 1.97KG - RM255, 2KG of tiger shrimps - RM35, mangrove crab 2KG - RM30, bamboo shell 1KG - RM15, mix vege - RM38, jags of orange juices for our drinks - RM30 and steam rice - RM14. We asked them to cook the tiger grouper to be cut by sides, one side to be cook Nyonya Asam and other side to be steam for kids. We were recommended the shrimps to be butter fried, the crab was cooked as Kim Hiong - tasty sauce that cooked with a mixture of ingredients of curry powder, curry leaf, grounded dry shrimp and eggs. The shells were cooked with dried chilies with oysters sauce. All the dishes were very nice and tasty and till the four families with 14 pax could finish them all.
